Automated Data Capturing Through the Use of Smart Mobile Devices (MOBIQ) & Statistical Reporting Based on the Captured Data (STAT)
The Need
Hellenic Petroleum expressed the need to automate its inspection capacity and the corresponding information gathering and analysis, for its EKO self-operating Fuel Stations across the country. The process of fast and accurate collection of such information in a paperless manner, and its corresponding results production / delivery across the organization was a challenge.
The Project
The Project encompasses quality and safety surveys based on questionnaires that are embedded in smart mobile devices (on Android OS) addressing all self-operating EKO ABEE & Hellenic Fuel Stations nationwide. Key features:
- Surveys run in live-mode, at intervals determined by the inspectors.
- Data are automatically passed to the servers at any given instance, where metrics are immediately calculated.
- A set of agreed statistical reports is created and delivered to HEL.PE pertinent users and executives.
- Aggregate statistical reports are also produced in specified timeframes.
Diastasys has delivered the above project with its Mobiq&Stat Application for Mobile Surveys and Statistical Analysis in order to satisfy the specific requirements of HEL.PE in collecting, delivering, analyzing and producing meaningful results with as minimum human intervention as possible.
The Technology
Mobiq combined with Stat constitute the ideal solution designed for specific needs of collecting and analyzing data for every enterprise that requires, internally, full lifecycle design, organization, management and analysis of surveys data originating from various heterogeneous data sources.
- Mobiq manages to remotely and wirelessly collect raw data by applying questionnaires with minimization of data entry, since every device possesses its own autonomous database (wireless network, GPRS).
- Stat produces high-quality statistical analysis reporting and relevant KPIs.
The Added Value
HEL.PE has acquired the capacity to launch, on a perpetual basis, inspections of 120 Fuel Stations: timely, accurately, and error-free, by means of automated processes producing:
- PDF Structured output
- Meaningful metrics in all levels of detail (Showrooms, Ramps, Staff capacity & safety)
- Partial and overall scoring, including ad-hoc photos of interesting cases
The delivered reporting to internal departments of interest has powered the company with easily-collectible, reliable and meaningful data for further decision-making.
The Customer’s View
“Diastasys, through the successful implementation of this project, has provided our organisation with mobile capacity for intuitive collection and reporting of: quality, safety and economic data throughout our self-operating Fuel Stations. The operations have completed their one year lifecycle, having satisfied our expected quality metrics and business results.”
